# Choose what a worker may do without asking

Set a chat to ask about everything or only risky actions, and see who allowed each step and why.

Each chat has a **Permissions** setting. Choose **Ask Me About Everything**
or **Only Ask About Risky Actions**. Reads and safe steps go ahead. Sending,
paying, posting, deleting and changing settings always ask you.

- **Steps.** Each step says who allowed it and why: you, a teammate, a
  rule, or a check against what you asked for.
- **Email.** A worker asks before it sends an email.
- **Apps.** A new app asks before it changes anything, and reading needs no
  asking. An action that can delete always asks. Choosing **Allow** for an
  app asks you to confirm.
- **Recent actions.** An app's page lists what workers did in it and why
  each step was allowed. If an action may already have gone through, the
  worker asks before it tries again.
